First Entry....off we go!

Here's the deal....Big fifty is coming up on the calendar and there must be some way to "celebrate" in a fashion befitting some one who wants to "do it right!" So a blog where I can alert all my friends of my plans and aspirations and get lots of people involved is my first step.

The plan is "Five Rides for Fifty Years- A Year Long Celebration of Life". I plan to do  5 major bike rides in my fifieth year of life and ask all that may want to participate to come along for some fun. 

The first event will be the "Tarwheel Century" in Elizabeth City NC .

The second event will be the "Three Mountain Madness". 

The Third (and first multiple day ride) will be "Ride the Rockies"

The fourth will be Hillsboro North Carolina's "Bike Fest" 

and the Grand Finale and number five

will be Cycle Oregon.
